About Nick

SoundBoy Audio

Nick has been producing and editing audio since 2004, starting with fun podcast projects for friends and expanding into weekly shows on diverse topics.


Since 2008, he’s worked as a self-employed Sound/Audio Designer and Engineer, creating sound for theatre, dance, and exhibitions, mixing live and recorded music, and consulting on equipment, mic technique, and broadcast-standard audio. Experienced with Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Izotope RX, OBS, and more, Nick combines technical expertise with creative insight.


He’s also held roles in venue and event management, including Duty Manager at Ainslie & Gorman Arts Centres, Technical Manager for You Are Here Festival, and Training Coordinator at Community Radio 2XX FM, delivering polished audio and seamless live experiences.

Nick actively enjoys and draws inspiration from several podcasts, such as Henry & Heidi, Sizzletown, Sound Opinions, Hit Parade, Switched On Pop, Song Exploder and Serial. Nick has edited shows for Jarrod Kimber, Darko.Audio, Independent Music Podcast and the Destiny Community Podcast.


Nick’s skillset encompasses podcast production services such as creating intro/outro and ambient music, writing and recording script for voice-overs and providing advice on gear to record content easily.
